Pigment Powders and Alex Syberia Designs' Gardenia Duo

Hello everyone!
Bonnie from BONNIECAROLLEE.com here with Alex Syberia Designs'
gorgeous image, Gardenia Duo. This digital image is one of my favourites and I was happy to work with it again but, this time, it will be done up in bold, intense colour using pigment powders.

I will be sharing a few tricks in the video tutorial to keep these powerful pigments under control so the image is not overwhelmed.

Gardenia Duo was printed on Canson XL watercolour paper. The panel was die cut with one of the nesting dies from Simon Says Stamp’s Stitched Rectangles. For the most part, I am applying Nuvo Shimmer Powders but will be working with one pigment powder from Ken Oliver’s line, Colorburst.

• flower in the foreground - Lilac Waterfall and Merlot
• second flower - Cherry Bomb
• leaves - Falling Leaves and Green Parade
• background - Solar Flare, Falling Leaves

When the panel was completely dry, it was spattered with watered down white gouache.

The panel was mounted on white sheet foam and matted with black card stock. The card base is top folding and A2 sized (4 1/4” by 5 1/2”) in landscape orientation. The sentiment, Simon Says Stamp’s Hugs, was die cut from both matte gold card stock and foam and stacked. The card was embellished with gold confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VISIT!
